The Extension is operated by Anthony Deldin ("I," "me," or "my"). By installing or using the Extension, you acknowledge the practices described below.OverviewThe Extension can be used on a free tier without signing in. If you choose to subscribe to SportsWise Pro or sign in, a limited amount of additional information (such as your email address and subscription status) is handled as described below, so that your subscription can be recognized and managed.What the Extension TransmitsTo generate an explanation, the Extension sends only the following to my backend service:- The sport you select
- The game identifier for the game you select
- Your chosen explanation level
- Your language preference
- Any question you type into the "Ask Anything" featureThis information is used solely to produce the sports explanation you requested.If you sign in or subscribe, the Extension additionally handles:- Your email address — used to identify your account, recognize your subscription status across your devices, and send subscription-related communications (such as receipts or trial and renewal notices).
- Your subscription status — whether you have an active free trial or paid ("Pro") subscription, so the Extension knows which features to unlock. This entitlement status may be checked with my backend and with my subscription provider (RevenueCat).Payment InformationIf you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by my third-party payment processor, Stripe, and subscription entitlements are managed by RevenueCat. Your full payment-card details are collected and handled directly by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy practices; I do not receive or store your full card number or security code. I may receive limited transaction and subscription information (such as that a payment succeeded, the plan purchased, renewal dates, and a partial card reference) needed to provide and support your subscription.What the Extension Does NOT CollectThe Extension does not collect, store, or transmit:- Your browsing history
- The content of pages you visit
- Video or audio content from any site
- Your passwords or login credentials for other sites
- Your full payment-card number or security code (these are handled by Stripe, not by me)The Extension does not require sign-in to use the free tier, and it does not collect your email address unless you choose to sign in or subscribe.Information Stored LocallyYour preferences — including theme, font size, language, overlay position, and similar display settings — are stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local). Your sign-in or subscription status may also be cached locally so the Extension can recognize your access without re-checking on every use. These items remain on your device except as needed to verify your subscription as described above.Third-Party ServicesTo provide its features, the Extension relies on:- Public sports data APIs — for live game and play information
- AI services — to generate plain-language explanations
- Backend hosting — to route requests and return explanations
- Stripe — to process subscription payments (for subscribers)
- RevenueCat — to manage and verify subscription entitlements (for subscribers)These services process only the limited information needed to perform their function. I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.PermissionsThe Extension requests host access so that its overlay can appear on the streaming sites and sports pages where you watch games. This access is used only to display the overlay and enable its features. The Extension does not read, collect, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.Data RetentionExplanation requests are processed to return a result and are not used to build a profile of you. Account and subscription information (such as your email and subscription status) is retained for as long as you have an account or active subscription, and afterward only as needed for legitimate business, legal, tax, or accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account information as described below.Your Choices and RightsYou can stop using the Extension and uninstall it at any time. You can cancel a subscription as described in the Terms and Conditions. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information I hold about you, or to object to certain processing. I do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.Children's PrivacyThe Extension is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Subscriptions are intended for adults as described in the Terms and Conditions.AI-Generated ContentExplanations produced by the Extension are generated by automated and artificial intelligence systems and are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed.
